Highly recommend this kit but the hand (not drill) version. Unless you keep a charged power drill in you trunk at all times this will be very difficult out on the road. Get the cheaper hand kit for your trunk!

So there’s no concern because sounds like there’s a lot of water in the portion outside and I could see kind of water spitting outside and I just don’t think it’s working properly. I’m gonna clean the filter on the inside and I just make sure it’s level. We got a huge storm here in Minneapolis last night multiple areas.

You do know THAT air conditioner is stupid, right? I bought the good one that actually sits BELOW the window. That thing is still blocking most of the view because it sits in the window. I bought the GE profile that is horseshoe shaped and the loud part sits below the window outside the wall so it's so much quieter, and because it sits below the window, we only lose 4 inches of view...

What kind of cleaner tells you you don't have to rinse it? Rinsing is how you actually get rid of the dirt. The cleaner just lifts the dirt off of the item. You have to wipe or rinse it to actually get the dirt OUT... 🤦‍♀️

Until the rust stops it from flinging then it will walk up and into the house.if the design works somewhere then awesome. Doesn’t work here and I have to do water damage repairs.

Seems like the entire north american continent have those double-hung windows, except us. Stock with those annoying sliding window, meant for who know's planet.

The problem with the water is it gets full of crap and ends up clogging the inside drain hole, then the AC overflows out the front and ruins the inside wall under it.

My first apartment when i was 20 had 2 ancient window AC units. They were loud, but worked like a champ. Never had problems with them in the 4 years i lived there. Im 34 now, own a house and my central AC unit has crapped out on me twice 😅

I think with the ridiculous size of batteries these days the next step is a battery backpack that plugs into the wall... "Hey fellas check out my 60 day AH backpack wall plug battery"..😂😂

Humid climates the water build up fast and drain hole clogs with bugs and junk then the water will leak out the front and rot the wall and floor inside

Hmm, I would say, YES DRILL IT!!! Why? Math: Even when I haven't found accurate information about the efficiency of the slinger, I don't believe it would be more than 10%, which means that, for a Windows AC consuming around 50 per month, we would be saving 5 dollars per month or 60 per year, which is less than the cost of 2 required maintenances during the year, something I don't do, in any of the 12 units I own, and, at the end, we have water causing damage that reduce the life expectancy of the unit and force us to spend more on expensive maintenance. So, the savings on BTU efficiency would be, by far, smaller than the costs associated with keeping the water in the tray creating rust, noise, mold bacteria, and stinky odor. Now I'm drilling all my units, and so far so good, but still have to wait some time to fully validate the results.

I tried an air impact wrench, even with a short burst in the forward direction to help break up any rust. I tried penetrating oil, an air chisel on the nut to break off any rust, an ice cube on top of the nut to shrink it a touch. I did everything I could think of except heating the surrounding area of the nut. I’ve just about given up. Any advice or suggestions?

I didn't know batteries do that and assumed I must not have been careful enough and spilled something on it. But turned it on now and it workssss, thank you❤

My AC was smelling so nasty. Like Smokey gym socks. Took it apart and deep cleaned it as much as I could. (Used shower mold cleaner +bleach… oops) but now it’s running much better and smell is gone…. So far.

So did my 9 yr old we started jumping up and down lmao….im a single mom of 4 struggling so bad right now and our washer broke 3 months ago…our house stinksssss of dirty clothes!!! My window unit is blowing ice cold but just recently started not blowing very hard. Taking it out of the window is kinda hard to accomplish. Would cleaning it the easy way possibly fix the not blowing hard issue?
